Artistic Background
Born in France into a Gitano family with roots in Granada, Pepe Fernández grew up surrounded by flamenco and began playing guitar at the age of eight, guided by his father.
Deeply connected to the Andalusian flamenco tradition, he has developed a distinctive musical identity that combines respect for the roots of flamenco with a personal and contemporary approach to the guitar.
Throughout his career, Pepe has collaborated with renowned flamenco artists including José Maya, David de Jacoba, Rubio de Pruna and Rafael de Utrera, establishing himself as a versatile guitarist both as a soloist and accompanist.
In 2021, he released his debut album, Cautivao, featuring collaborations with prominent artists including Potito, Josemi Carmona, Piraña and La Fabi. The recording reflects his musical personality and his connection to both traditional and contemporary flamenco.
